We arrived at 7PM and waited on the list for two hours because there were no reservations on Friday nights. We finally sat at a table that had just been cleared after sitting dirty since before we arrived, and staff said it was RESERVED for a soccer team. I argued with the manager, who said I was unreasonable to show up at 7PM on a Friday and expect to get a seat before 9PM. He said he didn't care about pissing me off because he had lots of other customers to fill the place. Then he ran away mid-sentence and never returned. I will NEVER go to this place again!
Shakes Rocks! More than a restaurant.. I went there a couple times and met some of the regulars, they introduced me to others.. a big British family, and one fun group. The staff is great and you can tell they really have a sence of family in there. Not to mention the best patio in Guelph.
