Market Fresh Meat & Produce

Market Fresh is not bad.....I find it over priced on alot of items but it's very fresh there, so the quality makes up for it. Serves is pretty go too but they do have a high turn over of staff. I'm still missing there old Store Manager Cliff. He was great!! Over-all pretty good place. I shop there weekly on some level. Mostly for the Fresh Bread, Fresh Meats and the odd gourmet product.

The best specialty food store ever. Great prices and freshest product. The best bread, freshest produce & best meat with an onsite butcher . Storemade Italian sausage Hot/Sweet YUM YUM!!!!!! Imported Cheeses you can't get anywhere else. Storemade salads and prepared food to go, can't beat this place...

Actually that is false. All salads come with dressing at market fresh. Go complain somewhere else.

I love the convenience of location and wonderful fresh veggies!/cheeses and breads Great friendly staff.

I live downtown and do almost all my grocery shopping at Market Fresh. The variety and quality of products is amazing, particularly for the size of the store, and the folks are always ready to help you. Even what appears to be a long line at the cash registers doesn't last that long - 4 minutes perhaps at the most. It's a great store and a real boon to downtown dwellers. I recently discovered another use besides vegetables or crackers for their store-made artichoke caponata - add some chopped wilted (and squeezed out) spinach, more asiago, a bit of brie, some toasted pine nuts, and an egg and stuff large portobello mushrooms with the mixture. Sprinkle additional pine nuts on top and roast until the mixture is cooked through and the pine nuts on top are slightly browned. Delicious.

We were in the store Friday aft, and the smells, the colours, the produce, the baked goods, the fresh meat...it was all so tempting and pleasing. Who ever does the buying for your store sure knows what they are doing. Love it, love it, love it.

I live downtown...gave up my car years ago..so..the store is convenient. I shop here at least once a week for breads, meat and produce. In addition specialty quality pastas and treats. I avoid buying canned goods because they are expensive however in a pinch they are available. I want to stress that even though I do go to the supermarket for those things every couple of weeks...I still opt to shop for fresh meats, produce and bakery goods that this store. The quality is far better and prices for these foods are not high in comparison....I love this store....and the staff are always friendly and helpful....

It's handy but expensive and I was really put off one day while I waited while the entire meat staff looked after one customer.
I bought Caesar Salad for lunch and was dismayed when I got back to the office that a salad which included, croutons and a slice of lemon did not include dressing...
APPARANTLY you have to ask for that.

I love this place, fresh bread, croissants and pastry, wide selection of quality meats and cheeses, great produce section, tons of other ingredients for your delicious meal and very friendly & helpful staff. This is a true Delicacy Food Shop, where you can buy specialty food. If you're looking for a one dollar loaf of bread or a box of cheese crackers on special you want to shop somewhere else.

to the person who said their freezers and refrigeration are unrelieable, you obviously know nothing because every time i shop there everything works fine and i have never had something go bad before the best before date. To the people who say that the produce is not fresh, you must be drunk when you shop there because they have some of the nicest produce i have seen. And last but not least, if you thin their prices are too high, then dont shop there. You guys obviously do not realize that they are not a big franchise grocery store that offers discounts and coupns and specials. There a small store that offers better quality items than any other place in guelph. man, some people, no matter what, will never be satisfied and will always look for things to complain about.

The last time I bought eggs there, half of them were cracked. Refrigeration and freezing are unreliable. Dairy goods go sour long before the best-before dates, and often things on lower freezer shelves have stuff dripping on them from the shelves above. Produce is usually okay, but sometimes is wilted and expensive. Bread is okay, but they're usually out of whatever I want. (Not baked yet, or sold out.)

Wheb I first moved to Guelph 4 years ago, I relied on this store for most of my groceries, but have since started doing more of my shopping for produce at the farmers' market. I have noticed the quality of produce at Market Fresh is not very good and they do not have much in the way of local food. Moreover, the prices are too high for the quality you get of most of their food like cheese, breads, and produce. I have also had two recent bad experiences with rude staff. On my most recent visit, the cashiere,

We have shopped for years at this market and have been fairly happy with their wares and service. However, we have recently decided not to return due to the aggressiveness and threatening manner of the parking attendant. We are shocked that this market supports such behavior from their parking attendant. Their parking attendant has approahced us in such a threatening manner than my young kids, in stroller, have cried. Our family has, therefore, decided not to support a business that condones such needless rude and agressive behavior.

Excelent and fresh food all day and all time

Market Fresh is one of the best stores in Guelph , I think. There staff are always friendly and are very knowledgeable about their product. I am a regular shopper there and i count on it for my groceries at least 3 times a week. I dont knwo what i would do without them! Thanks Market Fresh!

I love this store! But i wish there was more then one in Guelph or maybe nearby Kitchener or Cambridge!

Market Fresh is more expensive than the other stores in town, but it's
more convenient to get to and has much better-quality produce. They
also have their own deli counter and bakery - the breads in particular
are excellent. For such a small store, they have a good variety of
products. Furthermore the staff are generally quite helpful and friendly,
and seem to know what they're doing - none of which is true of many of
the other grocery stores in Guelph (I'm looking at you, No Frills!)
