I normally enjoy shopping at Zehrs ... until the other day. I was using the self-serve scanning machine and when it was time for me to pick up my change, I noticed I was short some money. I went over to the attendant who initially pretended to ignore me but then she rudely said, What! With the receipt, I showed her that I was short changed. She then said that the money is probably stuck inside the dispenser and all I have to do is reach inside and try to get it out. It didn't work and thus, with a key, it had to be opened up to retrieve it. I told her to the effect that this needs to be fixed and she snapped back saying something like there is nothing wrong with it. Almost in the same breath, she asked the other attendant if she is ready for a smoke break. Needless to say, I was very angry with this terrible service.
since they renovated it's a bit more expensive ... you can buy Sunny D at Walmart for 3.23 when on sale, and at Zehrs its always 3.89 or 4.23 ... what's up with that?
we shop at zehrs and find the cashiers very friendly, the only thing is they need packers at night time i find in the day theu are alot of them on a sat, and sunday but not through the week not too many, and sometimes i feel sorry for the cashiers when a customer is rude and loud just because they want the item free or impatient but they stay in line for a coffee for them self mean while its theit food for their family all week zehrs your doing great
The store is nice and easy to shop in...I had my childs photo's done here and they turned out crappy and I wasn't impressed...won't be back to that photo dept.
I love the store but I often go there to get lunch for our executives and it is a long wait. Too many people standing around but I gues that is because they have the union to protect them or their management is ineffective. As someone else suggested review your order history and you will see an increased traffic trend around noon I am sure. I have often spoken up and expressed my dissatisfaction and all you get is a glum face or a rude comment. These people maybe need to give their head a shake and be thankful they have a job and take a little pride in their work. Also the speed which they work at would be totall intolerable to me - they move at a snails pace no sense of urgency.
This store is the best Zehrs in Guelph, I would have rated it
I encountered a problem with the caps on the bottles of PC sparkling lemon water. They wouldn't tighten again after the bottle had been opened so the water lost its fizz very quickly. Only after leaving several complaints on the Zehrs website did I receive a response stating that they would
We were very excited when this store opened. It was more convenient than any other, it was new and clean, the staff had smiling faces. Now, the shelves are a mess or, more often, empty of product. The smiles are frequently missing from the faces of the same staff members who were keen in the beginning. The hot deli is run very inefficiently, with significant wait times at the dinner hour because proudcts are not ready to go. A simple review of sales history would allow for product to be available when it needs to be. We have approached customer service reps in order to provide feedback and are told that the best avenue for complaints or suggestions for improvement is the corporate website. My husband and I have both taken that advice and written emails, to which we have received no response. We are now at the point where we would rather shop anywhere else, which is a very sad statement of affairs. Recent commercials featuring Galen Weston travelling across the country to highlight the importance of understanding where your food comes from are a wonderful attempt to educate customers (consumers) about the link between farm and fork. However, I think he'd be surprised and disappointed to know how those same customers are being treated at the store level.
